  1. Great. How do you keep the bacon fresh over 2-3 days??

  2. I like buying ham steaks They take almost no room in your cooler because they are flat. I actually freeze them and because they’re flat, they can be put at the bottom of your cooler, to keep things cold. It goes great with a can of pineapple you can put on the grill with the ham. The ham is also vacuumed sealed so it won’t perish as quickly.

Most of my favorite camping experiences were in Japan with my little girls, so Japanese street food come so mind when I’m camping. Try yakisoba (stir fried noodles and cabbage, veggies, and chicken/pork/shrimp) on your griddle, and yakitori (skewered chicken, white onion and green onion grilled over hot coals and dipped in yakitori sauce). My girls also loved sandwich bag omelettes (because they can put whatever they like in their own baggie, along with 2-3 eggs, close the bag and squeeze to scramble, then boil it in a pot of boiling water for 1-2 mins until the egg is cooked solid. turn it out onto a plate and add salt, paper, hot sauce, or salsa.
