  3. Overpacking comes form military. There you take so much ‘just in case” items that actually from time to time you need. Or you just suffer trough without. Hiking is a leasure not a task or a mission to complete where there is defined acceptable loses in personel.

  4. Earplugs and sleep aids during a camping trip is nuts. Especially in a tent. Even more especially on the AT. Ngl this guy give weird and useless advice

    I recently lugged a 50 lb pack to 8,050 feet in elevation. Definitely lightening the load for next time! Table mountain Wyoming
